On September 18th - 24th 2010, the Middlesex DX Group activated the Isle of Mull.

After our successful Expedition to the Isle of Arran in 2008 the group decided to do it again.
We had enjoyed what Scotland had to offer and thought we return but to a new Island.

After searching the Internet, the Isle of Mull (EU-008) was choosen and we had booked a cottage situated South of the Island in the small town of Carsaig. The group applied for the callsign GB2MUL and decided we would QRV on HF, 144Mhz and 70Mhz.

Equipment:

HF - Yaesu FT-920, Challenger 3 Linear ampilifer running 400Watts,  SPC Supertuner, Jaybeam Yagi 20M/15M/10M and Carolina Windom CW-80.

144MHz - Yaesu FT-736R, Homebrew Linear Amplifier using  pair of GI7B's and a single 17 Element Tonna.

70Mhz - Yaesu FT-817ND, Spectrum Communication Transverter, Ex PMR 100Watt Ampilifer and single 4 Element.

We are currently working on writing the QSL cards and EQSL.cc work so sorry for any delay's on this this process. (28/7/11)
